Below are the general terms and conditions, privacy policy, cancellation and refund policy for the Natural Language Processing Association, India (NLPAI) regarding the collection of membership fees and registration fees for NLPAI organized conferences:

T&C for NLPAI Membership:

1. Membership in the Natural Language Processing Association, India (NLPAI) is open to researchers, professionals from industry, and full-time students from educational institutions with an interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related technologies.
2. By applying for membership, you agree to abide by the constitution, rules, and regulations of NLPAI. 
3. Membership fees are non-transferable/non-refundable/non-cancellable and must be paid in full at the time of registration.

For NLPAI organized Conferences:

1. Personal Data Collection: NLPAI collects personal information (name, email, contact details, profession, etc.) when you register for membership or events. This data is used solely for administrative purposes, event coordination, communication, and processing payments.
2. Data Protection: NLPAI takes reasonable measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All payments are processed through secure gateways and encrypted systems.
3. Use of Data: The data collected will be used to provide membership benefits, process transactions, communicate updates related to events, and for internal purposes such as research and reporting. We may occasionally send newsletters or information about NLPAI activities, but you can opt out of such communications at any time.
4. Third-Party Sharing: NLPAI does not share your personal data with third parties unless required by law or for purposes directly related to membership or event-related services (such as payment processing or event hosting platforms). All third-party services comply with applicable privacy regulations.

1. Event Registration Cancellation/Refunds: Registrations for NLPAI-organized events are non-cancellable or non-refundable. However, if a participant falls ill, they may request cancellation by notifying us in writing at least 30 days prior to the event. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to review by the organizing committee.
2. Membership Fee Cancellations/Refunds: Membership fees are non-cancellable or non-refundable, except in cases where the membership application is denied or if NLPAI cancels the membership due to violations of the terms and conditions. 
3. Event Postponement or Cancellation by NLPAI: In the event that an NLPAI event is cancelled or rescheduled, registered participants will be offered the option to either transfer their registration to the new event date or receive a full refund. NLPAI is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants.
4. Force Majeure: NLPAI is not liable for delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or other events beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, participants will be informed of any changes to the event, and alternative arrangements will be offered.

1. Amendments: NLPAI reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time. Members and event registrants will be notified of any significant changes, which will become effective immediately upon publication.
2. Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes related to membership or event registration will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
